About me
This site is my way to share myself and my projects on my own terms, recreating nostalgia for a MySpace I never got to experience. I'm a worldbuilder, a software hobbyist, and I like thinking and writing about why people are the way they are. Below is some of what I've made and what I'm into.
The world I run: Elhsewhare
Five meteors hit this world at different times, ages apart, and each one had something alive inside it. Every nation grew up around one of those craters, and there's no reason to think the meteors are done falling.
- Kessek Wildlands · eternal autumn
The green meteor. Trees grow in days instead of years, and the plant life here is sentient. - Kingdom of Haven · eternal summer
The golden meteor. Its light keeps the undead away, and a desert theocracy built itself around that light. It's at war. - Galvane Trade Federation · eternal spring
The blue meteor. Mages and artificers turned its storms into renewable energy. The wealthy live up top and the crime lives in the undercity. - Durrendusk Empire · eternal winter
The black meteor, and the oldest by far. It turned the oil into a living ichor. The creatures of the night here are reacting to a threat to their existence. - Dragonroost Isle · a volcano that never sleeps
The red meteor. It made a super-volcano, and Valoo the fire dragon has held the island for 1,100 years.
Magic is soft here, and high-level casting is rare. Clerics are everywhere. Sorcerers are the rarest thing you'll meet.
The campaign
My main campaign runs in Rastafey, a lumber town on the edge of Kessek.
A grim fairytale in a lumber town that looks warm and rustic. The rot is underneath.
A flag for every nation
I designed a flag for each nation, plus one for Rastafey.
My other campaign: Fallout Wisconsin
Chicago was the target and Wisconsin was collateral damage, so enough survived for factions to form instead of everything collapsing. The Tavern League runs the Midwest economy like a board of directors with mercenaries, the pre-war utilities still keep the lights on, and a small enclave of engineers has robots and power armor instead of an army.
Things I've built
My own morning briefing
I wrote my own morning briefing. Every morning at six it texts me the weather, my calendar, and my oldest open tasks. During the day I send it ideas, tasks, and voice notes over Telegram, and it files them. It runs on a server I rent.
